The 2016 Indie Author Fringe Online Conference is ALMOST HERE. Like in two days almost here. Actually, by the time most of you read this, the conference will be here TOMORROW, April 15th.
This conference is geared towards independent authors and offers a surplus of advice for Indies. It’s hosted by ALLi (Alliance of Independent Authors), an organization focused on educating the masses so that publishing is possible for EVERYONE.
I’m VERY passionate about this conference. Before I attended last year, my first book, The Farmed, was still sitting on my removable hard drive, in want of some serious attention. Writing the thing was easy…but everything else, from editing to publishing to marketing, was incredibly daunting. I just didn’t know where to start!
Then the 2015 Indie Author Fringe walked into my life and EVERYTHING CHANGED. Suddenly there were resources for Indie Authors, a whole lot of them. And the best part? The conference was FREE and held completely online. Even if I missed a live session, I was easily able to watch the recording!
Like I said, this conference changed everything. Before I knew it, I had enlisted an editor and created a timeline to get my book published…and now here I am, a year later, my author platform created and my first book published. I’m even scheduled to release two more by the end of the year…none of which would have been possible without the Indie Author Fringe.
This year’s conference is coming out the gates even stronger. It’s still completely FREE (I mean, what?!) and online, but the list of speakers is considerably more astounding. A complete list can be found here.
And remember IT’S ALL ONLINE. I personally will be watching/listening to sessions while getting my sweat on. Yes, you read that correctly. I will be watching sessions while I pedal 15+ miles on the stand-up bike. I mean, why not? It’s so convenient to attend, even a caveman could do it!
If you are considering publishing a book you’ve already written OR thinking about writing your first short story or book, I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to attend this event. The amount of knowledge accessible to you, through this conference, is unrivaled. If you decide to skip out, you’ll have to wait until next year.
Don’t worry, I’ll make this really easy…you can register for the event here.
You can also follow the event on Twitter, @IndieAuthorALLI and through the following hashtags: #IAF16 #authorevent #indieauthor #selfpub
There's also a Facebook Page for the Alliance of Independent Authors, if that's your drink of choice.
LIFE IS TOO SHORT. Live life to your fullest and attend the 2016 Indie Author Fringe. You won’t regret it!!
